Xiaomi has just announced its new Mi 11 phone and it’s the first phone in the world to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 processor. The Snapdragon 888 is Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor for smartphones.

The Mi 11 is Xiaomi’s latest flagship and it has all the specs that one would expect from one. Compared to the old Mi 10, the Mi 11 has a slightly larger 6.81-inch display (vs. the Mi 10’s 6.67-inch). The display is OLED and has a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels. It also has a high refresh rate of 120Hz. There will be an under-display fingerprint sensor.

In the top right corner of the display, there’s a small 20MP punch hole camera. Turning the phone over, you’ll find three cameras. There’s a main 108MP wide camera, a 5MP telephoto, and a 13MP ultra-wide.

Inside, the Mi 11 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chip. It will come with either 8GB or 12GB of memory and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Battery capacity is 4,600mAh and it supports 55W fast-charging via USB-C and also wireless charging at up to 55W. The Mi 11 also has reverse wireless charging so you can use it to juice up another device in emergencies.

Speaking of charging, Xiaomi will follow in the footsteps of Apple and not include a charging brick in the mainland China versions of the Mi 11. CEO Lei Jun said this is for environmental and cost-saving purposes.

However, there will be a separate bundle version that will come with a 55W GaN charger for users who require one. This will come at no extra cost.

Wireless connectivity support is Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. It also supports 5G including the faster mmWave version.
